About Drugs Section

Director (Drugs Procurement and Management) is heading the Drugs Section. The section ensures that the procurements of Drugs are made following a uniform, systematic, efficient and cost-effective procedure in accordance with the relevant statutory rules and regulations of the Governments. Ensure safety, efficacy, purity and quality of drugs, ensure availability of drugs, eliminate irrational combinations/ banned drugs, grant/ renew licenses for Drug Selling Units, investigate complaints received regarding drugs.

Preparing RFP document for inviting bids to address the estimated requirement for drugs. Organising authorised inspections at manufacturing and selling units conduct raids for those manufacturing spurious drugs/substandard drugs to take legal action against the offenders and prosecute, issuing various certificates for tenders etc. Developing and maintaining the necessary procurement system to ensure that all products and services purchased by the organization meet all internal and external requirements and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.Manufacturing spurious drugs/substandard drugs to take legal action against the offenders and prosecute, issuing various certificates for tenders etc.
